Volunteers
These are the “Friends of CitiSlickers” whose invaluable support is the backbone of our team. Perks include free team T-shirts, free food and beverages at the team tent, the gratitude of dozens of cyclists, and never having to wake up at 5am to ride a bike in the rain and cold! If you do not care to ride but want to join in the fun then here is your opportunity to participate. Complete a Volunteer Packet to become a team volunteer and join their FUN-raising! 

The following volunteer opportunities are available for 2008:

TEAM MEETINGS: Held throughout the year
We are always looking for volunteers to help us ensure that the team meetings run smoothly. You can volunteer for any of the team meetings held throughout the year. There is no heavy physical activity involved, just behind-the-scenes work such as telephone calls, setting up for the meeting, etc.

APRIL 19: Cycling Workshop at the Texas Motor Speedway
Volunteers needed to take photos, set up, and coordinate this event.

MAY 3-4: Frisco to Fort Worth MS 150
Saturday, May 3:
(1)  Startline at Embassy Suites in Frisco.  Volunteers needed from 6am-7am to help riders prepare for the ride including holding bikes and light lifting of luggage.
(2)  Day 1 Finish Line at the Texas Motor Speedway in Roanoke, Texas.  Help at the team tent by setting up and taking down tent decorations; setting up supplies and equipment including tables, chairs, signs, and boxes (light lifting required); packing up supplies and equipment; assisting with cooking and cleaning; serving food to hungry team members; and having fun with the riders and the rest of the team.  Preparations begin at 7am and go until 8pm.  Various shifts available if you can’t stay all day.

Sunday, May 4:
Day 2 Finish Line in Sundance Square.  Enthusiastic volunteers needed from noon - 4pm to cheer riders across the Finish Line.
